What We Believe

The Bible

The Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and divinely preserved for our generation. It is our sufficiency and final authority in faith and life.

II Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21

The Trinity

God is the creator, redeemer, and sustainer of all things. He exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

God

God the Father is an infinite, personal Spirit perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, knowledge, and love. He is eternal, just, and unchanging.

Genesis 1:1; Psalm 90:2; Psalm 95:1-7

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God’s Son—true God and true Man—born of the virgin Mary, sinless, crucified for our sins, and risen on the third day.

Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1,14; Colossians 1:14-19

Holy Spirit

Mankind

Created in God’s image, mankind fell into sin and now has a sinful nature, in need of forgiveness and redemption.

Salvation

Salvation is a gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by human effort.

Believing

Receiving Christ begins a new relationship with God—bringing new identity, a new heart, and eternal love.
