Culture of Uncomfortable Acceptance

Jeremiah Ramer - 1/19/2025

Every church says they want to be a come-as-you-are church, but most still find a way to finish the sentence: "We love you, but..." In this third message of the No Perfect People Allowed series, Pastor Jeremiah uses the story of Carter — a seven-foot-tall man with a hard-fought life story — and the conversion of Saul in Acts 9 to argue that indifference toward others is just as dangerous as hatred. Drawing from Luke 6:27–33, he challenges the church to cultivate a "culture of uncomfortable acceptance," not because people have earned it, but because Jesus loves them. And you have no idea what somebody has had to live through just to make it to today.
